Tony Romo Has High Praise For Josh Allen

The Buffalo Bills may have the best quarterback in all of football right now.

At least, that’s how Tony Romo feels.

Talking on CBS Sports, the former Dallas Cowboys star gushed about Josh Allen, and he went as far as to put him in some elite company:

“I think you’re seeing his competitive spirit, like his mental approach has taken it up a notch. He’s got the nuance to the game. He’s at his perfect athletic prime. He’s learned how to throw the football better. He’s playing the quarterback position right now as well as I’ve almost seen it played. Mahomes, him, Brady, Manning, Montana, there’s only been a few guys that have gotten to this level, and he’s doing it right now,” Romo said.

While that might sound like a little too much, it’s honestly hard to disagree with that assessment.

Allen took everything people criticized him for and cleaned it up.

He’s made every single player around him better, and he’s benefited from a more efficient running game as well.

More than that, Allen has looked absolutely fearless and unfazed by the pressure.

Even though his team has been caught on the wrong side of some absolutely heartbreaking losses in the playoffs, none of those setbacks have been on Allen.

If anything, he’s often been the best quarterback on the field during those games.

Allen proved just why he’s the reigning MVP in the first game of the season.

Granted, the Baltimore Ravens have a big history of blowing double-digit leads, but Allen’s level of belief made him feel that they were never truly out of that game.

We might be witnessing the most stacked and talented era in NFL history, at least at the quarterback position or in terms of the many elite passers in the game.

But until further notice, Josh Allen should be considered the best in the game.

Hopefully, he will finally win the Super Bowl he’s aiming for at the end of the season.
