Clippers Sign Longtime Guard Veteran

After months of rumors and speculation, Chris Paul has made his decision and is heading back to Los Angeles.

The future Hall of Famer and 12-time All-Star has selected to play with the Los Angeles Clippers for his 21st, and possibly last, season.

The news was reported on Monday by Shams Charania and quickly celebrated by Clippers fans all over.

Although Paul and the team have a shared and rich history, the Clippers didn’t pursue Paul simply because of his previous stint with the team.

They truly believe he could help the squad in 2025-26.

All NBA fans remember Paul’s years with the Clippers.

During those six seasons, he put up an average of 18.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 9.8 assists, helping bring the team into the modern era and co-creating the “Lob City” craze that captivated the NBA.

He was an All-Star for almost every year in Los Angeles and was in the running for MVP multiple times.

A lot of time has passed since then, and Paul has moved all over the league, but he’s still a hugely significant and impactful player, even at 40 years old.

Last year, he averaged 8.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 7.4 assists per game.

Those numbers may not be as big as previous seasons, but he participated in all 82 games.

That shows that even at his age, Paul can do a lot, and the Clippers expect big things from him.

Is this going to be Paul’s last season?

He is definitely nearing the end of his career, even if it doesn’t come at the conclusion of 2025-26.

He is coming back to Los Angeles, and the team and its fans are very ready to welcome him.
