Insider Uses 3 Words To Describe Jaden Ivey’s Trade Status
The Detroit Pistons were one of the biggest and most exciting success stories of last season, transforming from the worst team in the league into playoff contenders.
They did that mostly without one of their biggest stars, which has put them in a tricky situation.
There are rumors that Jaden Ivey could be leaving the Pistons soon.
It’s far from a sure thing, but other teams throughout the league think there is a chance he leaves Detroit.
“Sources outside of the Pistons have described Jaden Ivey’s trade status as ‘open for interpretation,’” per Brett Siegel.

Ivey was supposed to be a central part of the team’s plans last year, but he got injured and only appeared in 30 games.
During that time, he averaged 17.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 4.0 assists on 46.0 percent from the field.
Despite losing Ivey, the Pistons still had a resounding season and relied on others like Ausar Thompson and Ron Holland II.
There is now a thinking that perhaps they don’t need Ivey anymore and they’d be willing to part ways with him, if the price is right.
If they do commit to an Ivey trade, it’ll only be for a deal that brings them a ton of win-now talent and future prospects.
They have their sights set on a title within the next few years, and they want players and draft picks that would make that happen.
Ivey fans shouldn’t panic yet, because Ivey isn’t moving anywhere right now.
But they should pay close attention to his usage and output at the start of the season, because it could suggest what may happen in the relatively near future.
