WAN-IFRA announces 2026 Print & Sustainability Awards winners
The awards highlight how publishers are adapting print products and operations as audience habits, technology and environmental considerations continue to change.

Página|12 won the Print-Digital Fusion Award for its use of digital tools and cross-platform storytelling to extend the role of print. The 50th anniversary of the 1976 military coup represented a unique editorial opportunity, not only to commemorate a defining moment in the country’s history, but also to rethink how journalism could be produced for contemporary audiences.

The Next Gen Reader Engagement Award went to Jes Kirjastus, recognising its approach to reaching younger audiences through print formats, storytelling and educational partnerships.
In sustainability and operations, Frontline Group won the Sustainable Print Excellence Award. The mission was to reduce environmental impact, educate and empower young readers, and secure the future of children’s publishing by aligning joy, learning, and sustainability.

Living Media India Limited received the Supply Chain Innovator Award for its work on improving efficiency and sustainability across the publishing supply chain.

The Print Advertising Creativity Award was awarded to Bennett Coleman & Company Ltd (The Times of India) for redefining the possibilities of newspaper advertising by creating an immersive, large-format brand experience for the launch of ANP Privado, a premium residential development in Pune.
Two entries received were highly commended.
SPH Media Limited was recognised in the Print-Digital Fusion category, while Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung GmbH was highly commended in the Print Advertising Creativity category.
The 2026 awards reflect a broad range of approaches to print – from connecting physical publications with digital experiences and developing new ways to engage younger readers, to addressing environmental performance and rethinking how print is produced and distributed.
The winners were recognised at our World Printers Summit in Rotterdam.
