Stephen A. Smith Believes The Thunder Should Trade For Kevin Durant

The Oklahoma City Thunder have a good shot of winning a championship this year.

If they do, it’ll be the biggest moment in the franchise’s history.

And if they don’t, they should do something drastic, according to Stephen A. Smith.

Speaking on “Get Up” on Monday, Smith said the Thunder should “go and get Kevin Durant” if they do not secure a title this year.

He laid it out clearly: the Thunder have a ton of assets to give to the Phoenix Suns, who are hungry for them.

Bringing back Durant could help Oklahoma City finally reach its next level and give both teams what they need.

Sam Presti and his staff have been compiling a plethora of assets over the years, including numerous draft picks.

They could cobble together a bunch of them and send them to Phoenix.

That would put the Suns in a rebuilding phase, which might not please Devin Booker but would give the team a bright future.

As for the Thunder, they would get one of the best offensive stars of all time with Durant.

Plus, it would grant Durant a chance to give the team a championship and bring some sort of closure to the fans who were disappointed to see him leave years ago.

Smith said that Presti has been in charge of the Thunder for years and has yet to deliver the ultimate goal of a title.

If his team cannot get it done this year, it’s time to shake things up in a shocking but strategic way.

Will Presti listen, and will Durant return to OKC?

At this point, anything seems possible.
