Luka Doncic Gets Honest About Potentially Retiring Overseas

Luka Doncic may be currently playing for the Los Angeles Lakers, but he might head overseas when it’s time to hang up his jersey for good.

Doncic recently revealed that he’d like to retire with the team where it all started.

“I would like to RETIRE at Real Madrid. They raised me,” Doncic said.

Lakers fans need not worry too much right now, because Doncic isn’t about to pack his bags.

He’s still a young man and surely has plenty of years left in the NBA.

He has said that he is a loyal player, one who wishes to remain with one franchise as long as possible.

That means he could be in LA for a very long time and isn’t thinking about an exit.

If Doncic really did want to move to the Spanish League and play for Real Madrid again, it wouldn’t be for years.

In fact, he might not even make the cut when he’s older, because Real Madrid is one of the most competitive teams in Europe.

That means that they may not have space for Doncic if he can’t keep up with younger players.

Right now, that seems impossible, but a lot can change over the next decade as Doncic grows older and retirement gets closer.

Real Madrid has won 38 Spanish League championships, 29 Spanish Cups, and 11 EuroLeague titles.

There’s a reason why Doncic would want to join them once again: no other team has enjoyed as much success.

All of this is far down the road, and for now, Doncic is focused solely on the Lakers and winning his first championship with that team.
