Tyler Herro Sends Strong Message After Foot Surgery
The Miami Heat is going to be without Tyler Herro for a while, but he’s promising to be back and on a mission.
Herro had to have surgery on his left foot on Friday to treat an ankle injury suffered during an offseason workout.
There is no timetable for his return, and it’s expected that he will miss the beginning of the 2025-26 season.
Herro sent a message to his fans on social media, letting them know that he’s on the mend and will be back as soon as possible.
“imma tear the league back down once I get off this weak a— bed,” Herro posted on X.
Apparently, Herro wanted to avoid surgery at all costs, but team doctors determined this would be the best path to heal for good.
He was attempting to get by solely on cortisone injections, but the discomfort he felt following his injury just wouldn’t go away.
There is no doubt that he will be sorely missed because Herro is a huge part of the Heat and their success.
Last season, he produced 23.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 5.5 assists on 47.2 percent from the field and 37.5 percent from the three-point line.
With such a threatening offensive star out of the lineup for the time being, the Heat will need to turn to others like Andrew Wiggins, Nikola Jovic, or Bam Adebayo.
The Eastern Conference is wide open this year because of the absences of Jayson Tatum and Tyrese Haliburton.
The Heat were hoping to take advantage of that and move up the rankings.
They might be able to do that, but it’ll be much harder without Herro.
Of course, he won’t be gone for the whole season, but the Heat still wants him back as quickly as possible.
