Youth Eurobasket: Greece-Turkey 48-71-Basketball News
The National Youth was defeated by Turkey 71-48 in the match today (13/7) in La Palma and despite the effort made during the U18 Eurobasket, it was relegated to the second division as it finished 14th in the event.
Today's showdown began with Turkey to have a slight superiority, and relying on its three-pointers at 3 ′ leading 10-4 and 5 ′ with 13-7. At the beginning of the last period, the blue-white tried to counterattack with the three-pointers of Zorbala (42-48 32 ′) and Patsiazis (45-51 33΄), the overall problems it had in the attack and many mistakes maintained Turkey as a driver. After 36 ′, when Turkey was 55-45, Greece's opponent began to take control of the match, as by 39 ′ the national team had scored two points against Turkey fourteen. The result was the difference to rise to 22 points (47-69) in favor of formal guests and leading to the victory with the final 48-71.
