Raptors Reveal Trade Framework For Potential Kevin Durant Move

The Toronto Raptors are apparently in the mix for Kevin Durant, and they are willing to give up a lot to get him.

Some new reporting states that the Raptors will offer several players and a draft pick for Durant.

“League sources say the Raptors have explored a range of trade concepts that could involve a framework including any combination of RJ Barrett, Immanuel Quickley, Jakob Poeltl and the No. 9 overall pick. While nothing appears imminent, there is internal openness to parting with one of Barrett or Quickley in a larger package, and Poeltl could be included depending on the structure,” said Grant Afseth, per NBACentral.

Over the last week, the Raptors have emerged as potential contenders to get Durant, and this potential trade is a clear example of why.

They are obviously comfortable cutting ties with multiple players, including some who were once seen as the future of the team.

That is how much they value and believe in Durant.

There are two sides to this, of course, and any deal will not move forward unless the Suns say so.

Can they commit to a future with Barrett, Quickley, Poeltl, and the No. 9 draft pick?

Is that enough for them to say goodbye to Durant?

They have a lot of offers coming their way right now, which means they need to consider all of them and decide which one makes the most sense.

They don’t get chances like this often, and moving a player like Durant comes with a lot of benefits, but also some risks, too.

If the Suns handle this well, they could be starting an exciting new chapter.

But if they don’t, the team could be stuck in a rut for a long time.
