NFL Draft Analyst Names ‘Most Pro-Ready’ Quarterback

Just about everyone agrees that the two best quarterback prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft are Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders.

Neither is thought to have certain franchise-player potential, but perhaps one or both could become a legitimate starter if enough goes right.

There have been some questions and concerns about Sanders, especially after he played poorly in the Alamo Bowl, but Ward had a solid performance in the Pop-Tarts Bowl, and it seems as if he has crept ahead in mock drafts.

ESPN draft analyst Matt Miller recently named the QB most likely to make a quicker impact.

“As far as Cam Ward goes, I think he is the most pro-ready of any quarterback in this draft class,” Miller said, via NFL on ESPN.

Ward played his first two seasons of college football at the University of the Incarnate Word.

He then moved on to Washington State before playing the 2024 season for Miami, when he threw for 4,313 yards and 39 touchdowns while completing 67.2 percent of his pass attempts.

He is thought to be mistake-prone, but he threw fewer than 10 interceptions in each of the past three seasons.

The Tennessee Titans have the No. 1 overall pick, and though some feel Ward could end up with them, there are rumors they could opt to acquire veteran Aaron Rodgers, who is expected to leave the New York Jets.
