Washington Commanders bring flag football fun to Abu Dhabi with youth camp

Washington Commanders are bringing a morning of movement, teamwork and community to the capital with the Kullna Commanders Youth Football Camp on January 31, 2026, at Abu Dhabi Cricket & Sports Hub.

Designed around inclusivity, energy, and family participation, the camp brings together young players, parents, and the wider community to celebrate the spirit of American football in a fun, welcoming environment.

The event follows the success of the Commanders’ November Watch Party at Yas Marina, continuing the franchise’s growing engagement with UAE fans.

A Flag Football Experience for the Whole Community

Players will participate in a Commanders-led flag football program featuring 10 interactive drills and skill stations, followed by friendly gameplay between sub-teams. The sessions are designed to develop fundamental movement, coordination, and teamwork skills while keeping the focus on enjoyment and participation.

Off the field, families can enjoy a full tailgating experience, creating a festival-style atmosphere throughout the morning. Activities include backyard-style games, face painting, ball customisation, foam machine fun, as well as a complimentary BBQ and drinks station for registered attendees.

With free entry and a strong family focus, the event is designed to be accessible and welcoming for the UAE community.

Creating Memorable Moments On and Off the Field

At its core, Kullna Commanders Youth Football Camp is about creating memorable, moments – both on the field and beyond it. The experience encourages young athletes to stay active, build confidence, and connect with teammates, while families enjoy a relaxed, community-driven environment.
