Sean Payton Sends A Clear Message To Broncos’ Critics

The Denver Broncos needed until the very last day of the regular season to clinch their spot in the playoffs.

They’re now eight-point underdogs as they prepare to hit the road to face the red-hot Buffalo Bills.

That speaks volumes about the expectations and how lopsided this game could turn out to be.

Nevertheless, that doesn’t mean anything to Sean Payton.

Recently, the former Super Bowl-winning coach shrugged off all the doubts and criticism, stating that it’s mostly coming from people who don’t know what they’re talking about (via DNVR Broncos).

The Broncos weren’t expected to be this good this season.

They parted ways with plenty of talented players, and their big cap hit from moving on from Russell Wilson prevented them from adding more talent to their roster.

Also, Bo Nix constantly drew mixed reviews during his long collegiate career.

Then again, this team doesn’t look like a fluke.

While they might not be ready to take that next step forward and might need a couple more years to be back in Super Bowl contention, they’re a good football team.

They’re well-coached, play strong defense, and have a rookie quarterback who looks tailor-made to run Sean Payton’s offense.

Nix didn’t make the same mistake twice this season, and even if they lose this weekend, they should be more than capable of putting up a fight.

The Broncos will only get better with more time, and it’ll be interesting to see how far they can go under Sean Payton’s tutelage.
