John Harbaugh Speaks Out About Recent Criticism Of Mark Andrews
The Baltimore Ravens suffered another heartbreaking end to the season.
This time, it happened with Mark Andrews dropping a wide-open pass in the endzone for a would-be game-tying two-point conversion.
Of course, Andrews has had a big target on his back ever since, drawing plenty of criticism and even mockery for this.
That’s why Ravens head coach John Harbaugh came to his defense and snubbed all the doubters (via Jeff Zrebiec):
“Mark Andrews is one of the very best football players, one of the most committed football players. Nobody cares more about the success of this football team than Mark Andrews,” he said.

Andrews has been one of the best tight ends in the game for years now.
He’s always been Lamar Jackson’s go-to guy and security blanket, even becoming the franchise’s all-time leader in touchdown receptions.
Yes, he made two costly mistakes in the biggest game of the season, one of which might haunt him for the rest of his life.
But he’s just too good a player and too important for this team to get this kind of treatment.
If anything, Jackson shouldn’t let be off the hook either.
He had two head-scratching turnovers in the game.
He hadn’t had two turnovers in a single game this season, and the last time it happened was in the AFC Championship Game vs. the Kansas City Chiefs last season.
Unlike Jackson, Andrews had always risen to the occasion when his team needed him the most, and he should get a pass for this.
The Ravens will have a long offseason to regroup and recover.
Hopefully, Andrews will be able to get back on his feet, and he won’t allow this costly mistake to get into his head.
