Charles Barkley Sounds Off On Lakers After Loss To Mavericks
The Los Angeles Lakers fell 118-97 to the Dallas Mavericks on the road Tuesday night.
LeBron James and Co. are currently the sixth seed in the Western Conference, with a record of 20-16.
NBA legend and current analyst Charles Barkley was not overly enthused by the Lakers’ efforts against the Mavericks, who were without Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.
“The Lakers stink, plain and simple…The Lakers are not a good team,” Barkley said bluntly Tuesday night via NBA on TNT.

Right now, the Lakers are not a bad team.
They are a middle-of-the-pack team that had a really bad loss to a team they should have beaten.
Also, they are still just four games back of the second seed in the Western Conference.
However, as great as LeBron James is, he cannot be the only player performing well, seeing as he is 40 and likely nearing retirement.
Additionally, center Anthony Davis is a future Hall of Famer but can only do so much in the paint.
Head coach JJ Redick needs to find somebody else who can step up and play well alongside James and Davis if this team wants to contend down the road this season.
James had just 18 points in 35 minutes on Tuesday night against Dallas.
The supporting cast of Austin Reaves, Rui Hachimura, Dalton Knecht, etc., has to show up and show out when that happens.
No player had more than 21 points against Dallas, and that came from Davis.
The Lakers will have a chance to rebound after the loss when they face the Charlotte Hornets on Thursday night at home.
