Analyst Predicts Ichiro Suzuki Will Be First Ballot Hall Of Famer
Major League Baseball today is played a lot differently than it was in previous eras.
The game today involves a lot of home runs and a lot of strikeouts, while in previous eras, batting average and getting on base was more of a focus.
While both strategies are exciting to watch, some fans have a preference either one way or the other.
One player was well-known for his ability to get on base and the outrageous number of hits accumulated on a season-to-season basis.
Ichiro Suzuki was one of the best players of all time when it came to getting on base, and MLB Analyst Bret Boone revealed his prediction on Suzuki’s future in the Hall of Fame.
“Absolutely a Hall of Famer, he’ll get in as we expect on that first ballot,” Boone said via MLB Network Radio on Sirius XM.

Suzuki came into the league in 2001 with the Seattle Mariners and played 19 total seasons in the MLB before retiring after the 2019 season.
The numbers for Suzuki in his career are off the charts and include a .311 batting average, 3,089 hits, 117 home runs, 780 RBIs, 1080 stolen bases, and a .757 OPS.
In his 19-season MLB career, Suzuki had 200 or more hits in 10 straight seasons to start his career, along with a Most Valuable Player and Rookie of the Year awards in 2001.
With the game in the state that it is currently in, we may never see numbers like this again by a player.
For this reason, Boone believes that Suzuki will be a first-ballot Hall of Famer, and it appears like it is well deserved.
